Rainsticks are percussion instruments made from long hollow tubes filled with small pebbles or beans that when upended, fall to the other end making a rain like sound that when played, was believed to bring about rainstorms. Traditionally made from dried cactus, the spines would be removed and driven into the cactus like nails to produce a water falling sound when filled, yet they can be made with other common materials, as well. This approximately 24 inch long, 2.5 inch diameter rainstick is handcrafted from bamboo hand painted using the traditional aboriginal dot-painting style with an intricate hand drawn design in the center. Each end of the stick is capped and covered preventing the beads from falling out, and includes a pre-attached loop for hanging on the wall. NOTE: Since each rainstick is individually hand-crafted and hand-painted, yours may vary slightly in design and color from the one pictured. NOTE: This item is being sold as 'Scratch and Dent', at a reduced price, DUE TO MULTIPLE SCRATCHES AND FADED/OR PAINTED MISTAKES (DAMAGE MAY VARY PER PRODUCT AVAILABLE), and/or other minor defects. Please see the last image(s) for an example. `Scratch and Dent` items are sold `as is` and all sales are final.
